CSRD Workshops

The Corporate Social Reporting Directive (CSRD) will require 40,000 companies to provide mandatory ESG reports by 2026. Implications for SMEs are beginning to emerge.

In the EU listed SMEs will have to report on their sustainability behaviours by 2027 and also falling under the radar will be the Scope 3 emissions of non-listed SMEs.

Across the UK, Canada and Australia from 2025 mandatory climate reporting for certain SMEs will come into effect. As the CSRD develops in Europe similar frameworks will begin to emerge across these and other countries. Eventually all SMEs will come under some form of reporting requirements.

The time for action is now. SMEs in the EU cannot wait they must act now to prepare a business strategy to integrate ESG and be ready for mandatory reporting. Non-EU countries will also benefit from taking action now.
